Privacy policy

To help you meet people in real places, we collect:

• Identification data :First name, last name, email address, date of birth.
• Profile data :Photos, interests, personal description.
• Location data :Required to suggest nearby places (subject to your explicit consent).

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing your user account.
• Matching you with other profiles through our recommendation algorithm.
• Geolocating unique places around you.
• Securing interactions (detecting abusive behaviour).

Processing of your data is based on:

• Performance of the contract :To provide you with the dating service.
• Your consent :In particular for geolocation and access to your photo gallery.
• Legitimate interest :To ensure site security and improve our services.

We use trusted third-party services to run the application:

• Supabase (database and authentication) :Your data is stored on secure servers located in Ireland.
• Hosting :For delivering the interface.
• Image storage :Your photos are stored via Supabase Storage.

Your data is retained according to the following rules:

• Account data :Kept for as long as your registration remains active.
• Inactivity :After 24 months of prolonged inactivity, your data is automatically deleted.
• Messages :Conversations are kept unless you delete them or delete your account.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

• Right of access and rectification.
• Right to erasure :You can delete your account at any time from your settings.
• Right to data portability :You can request a copy of your data in a structured format.
• Right to object :You can withdraw geolocation consent at any time via your device settings.

We use HTTPS, at-rest encryption provided by Supabase, and strict database row-level security policies (Row Level Security - RLS) to ensure that only you (and authorised people) can access your information.

Oly.dating does not use advertising cookies or audience measurement tools (Google Analytics, Meta pixels, etc.). Only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for the service to work are used:

• Login session : cookies set by Supabase to keep you signed in and secure your account.
• Installable app (PWA) : a service worker for offline caching, and local storage (localStorage) to remember whether you dismissed the install prompt.
• Interactive map : when you view the map, requests are sent to MapTiler to display map tiles (your IP address may be transmitted to this provider).
• Premium payment : if you subscribe to a plan, you are redirected to Stripe; any cookies are then set on the stripe.com domain.
• Google or Facebook sign-in : if you choose this option, you are redirected to the relevant provider, which may set its own cookies on its domain.
